Lip Balm…not just for that pucker anymore!

It’s the time of year when we are all reaching for more Chapstick or Lip Balm. Lips are drier and noses are getting raw.  We simply need our little pocket savior to ease our dry chapped areas.  But did you know, there are many more uses for that cheap stick of moisturizing goodness?

I use Lip Balm on both my and my husband’s eyebrows to keep them in place, I know men also use it on their mustaches and beards to keep them groomed and soft.  You can use it to keep your cuticles moisturized or help keep polish off your skin when giving yourself a manicure. You can use Chapstick to loosen a stuck zipper…this works every time, and you can use it to heal a paper cut within a day.  But my all-time favorite use for Lip Balm or Chapstick – drum roll please – eye shadow base!

Yep, plain, no flavor (no menthol or peppermint), no SPF Chapstick or Lip Balm makes a great eye shadow base, especially for glittery or heavy iridescent shadows.  This will cost you less than $2 as compared to a $15-$25 name brand eyeshadow base. With holiday soirées and New Year’s Eve just weeks away, this is the perfect product to help keep that festive eyeshadow look in place.  Simply smooth a thin layer on and press the glitter into place with an eyeshadow brush. This works especially well when brightening the inner eyes and tear ducts.  Just try it. You probably have some in your cosmetic bag right now.

You can do it!
