Homemade lipstick!
With the change of season, we naturally want to update our autumn cosmetic look with adjustments that appear fresh and modern. This fall and winter, dramatic, bold, red ruby lips offer an immediate image update.
Maybe you have your own ruby lip paint that you can break out, or maybe….you’d like to make your own! You can easily create your own custom lip colors for this season or perhaps for a Halloween costume, with a Crayola Crayon. Crayola crayons are mostly paraffin and completely safe. Kids eat them all the time.
Simply add a crushed crayon to 1/2 teaspoon of shea butter or coconut oil and 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil or argon oil to a glass bowl and place it in a pot with one inch of boiling water. Stir with a chopstick or toothpick and pour into a small jar or contact lens case. This will give you a great matte lipstick.
For even more staying power and a lush matte finish, touch a bit of power blush to the center bottom lip with your finger. This will add dimension and longevity to your new homemade color.
You can do it.
