Boot Prep!
As we welcome in November this week, there is no denying that our need for winter gear will be here before you know it. So, this week, make a pledge to take stock of your boots. Those glorious foot hugs that we gleefully brought home from the store, need a little TLC before we take them out for a snow slog.
Look at all of the heels, the soles, laces and leather. You may need new rubber soles or to condition the leather so it doesn’t crack. Polish them up and get them ready so that when the time comes that you need them, they’ll look fresh, clean and new.
You can weatherproof your leather boots by applying good old fashioned WD-40 to them, and I’ll bet you have a can of this floating around. Simply spray or rub it on with a cloth and let it dry for a day.
You’ll be so glad you took the time to do this.
